What a beautiful morning! The flight covered about 5.5 miles, gentle, but exciting for Natasha and Barry, our passengers from Hickory. Charles eased the balloon over the woods and ALMOST into a lovely mowed field, but then, a slow right turn took the balloon over a large corn field, beautiful corn! He stepped it down to just hovering over the corn where crew Diane, Dusty, Cathy and Kristie carried it through the rows and back into the waiting field of grass. Didn't touch the corn! Didn't notice the CRITTER CROSSING sign next to the corn field will we were done! Oh, my! Excellent teamwork all around.

AuthorsKristie and Charles have been ballooning, it seems like forever, but really only since 1981. This blog is a running log of fun flights and adventures in and around the Greater Cool Spring International Balloon Port and Space Museum, our home. Enjoy! Archives
